Independent record label, Mar Creation Records, has released its first compilation CD entitled "Samba do Mar/Various Artists", which features 9 original songs and one cover song from 10 diverse artists. Spanning the genres of Jazz, Pop, Latin and Brazilian, the album showcases the label's muti-talented lineup of musicians.
"Samba do Mar" features five vocal tracks and five instrumental pieces from artists hailing from such places as Brazil, Portugal, Japan, Argentina and the US. Six of the artists are Mar Creation artists: Daniel Baeder, Dario Boente & Huge in Japan, Catarina dos Santos, George Petit, Mar Project and TANGA. Four of the other featured artists are: Joseph Diamond, ERIKA, ShannonMarie and the Paul Carlon Octet.
Each of the CD's artists have enjoyed professional success and international/national recognition, playing in world renown venues and collaborating with award-winning artists. Many are not only musicians, but also engineers, producers and arrangers as well. "Samba do Mar" offers a blend of different sounds to highlight what Mar Creation has to offer to listeners who seek fresh music.
